Born and raised in Madrid, Spain, in a trilingual (ENG-ESP-FRA) and tricultural home, Luis brings over 30 years of proven expertise, holding a Master in Creative Writing, degrees in Advertising and Culinary Arts, and an Advanced Certification in Technical Simultaneous Translation and Interpretation. He attended the unparalleled American School of Madrid and graduated in 1988.
Luis began his trade working for the American Embassy in Madrid, Spain, as an interpreter and translator at age 17. He honed his skills for 10 years in his very own Transnet Worldwide Translations language services firm.
He was called up by Real Madrid to lead the English website and act as coordinator of the newly-created English Realmadrid TV Team, and established the in-house interpreter team that worked side-by-side with leading football stars, such as David Beckham.
He has lived and worked, extensively and briefly, in the US, Spain, France, Greece, India, and Qatar, holding a motley selection of jobs in diverse industries, such as Tourism, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Entertainment, Digital Business, Video Production & Streaming, as well as Language Services.
Luis is the proud son of Cuban-American Yiyita, who brought the spice of life wherever she laid her hat, and Spanish-American Guillermo, who was South Florida’s premier clockmaker and a true renaissance man.
